Job description

At The July, we are on the hunt for an authentic Front Office Manager for our newest addition: a premium aparthotel in the heart of London, Victoria, scheduled to open in June 2025. The location will be a sustainable city oasis with 114 studios and two residential apartments. The property will also be home to a restaurant, bar, and deli, serving both neighbors and guests, ensuring our spaces stay lively and vibrant all day and night.

The Job

As the Front Office Manager at The July, you'll play a key role in providing our guests with exceptional experiences, ensuring all guests and visitors feel welcome and are well looked after. 

Job requirements

What are you going to do?

  • Lead the front of house team and oversee the day-to-day operations. 

  • Daily review of arrivals and departures, handling special requests, greeting VIPs and ensuring relevant departments are aware of these. 

  • Conduct daily checks on the cleanliness and condition of rooms and common areas, along with random spot checks to ensure brand standards are being followed.

  • Create and manage work schedules, and coordinate task delegation among team members.

  • Hiring, coaching and training the Front of House team, ensuring that frameworks are followed. 

  • Handle complaints escalated from the team, as well as registering and preventing future complaints.

  • Work with the General Manager to discuss potential service improvements and implement them. 

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and escalate employee relations matters when necessary. 

  • Hold regular departmental meetings and ensure that employees are well informed about procedures and best practices to maintain high standards of guest service.

  • Health & Safety representative, ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed and conducting regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards within the front office and guest areas.

  • Review and respond to guest feedback through surveys, social media, and direct customer contact.

  • Carrying out all possible related activities assigned by the management of the hotel.


What we are looking for

  • Someone who loves hotel operations and guest service, with at least a year of experience leading a Front Office team. 

  • Solid understanding of front office operations, passionate about team development and a natural leader. Experience with Mews is a plus! 

  • Comfortable communicating in English, both speaking and writing. 

  • A team player who’s hands-on and stays calm, even when things get busy.
