The 51 is the cozy restaurant and living room of the ID Aparthotel. The new Gastro-Pub within walking distance of Sloterdijk station is a perfect pit stop- for drinks and bites. Our guests can enjoy a perfect breakfast or indulge in delightful dishes for lunch and dinner. Guests can even tap their own beer at our beer wall full of special beers. Moreover, we have the capacity to host meetings or events for up to 200 guests. The styling of The 51 complements the urban environment perfectly.

Still with us? Great! Let us give you a glimpse of what your average day will look like. Since our hotel serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the schedule varies per shift. Here's a general overview: you start the day with a nice cup of coffee and discuss the day's plans with the rest of the F&B team. Then, you begin your shift by preparing our dishes, ensuring the quality of the products and dishes is top-notch. The first orders come in, and you prepare the dishes with love, showcasing your creativity to make them look fantastic. You receive an order with multiple allergies to consider. Fortunately, you handle it expertly, creating a delicious dish that meets the guest's preferences. You're responsible for organizing the staff lunch, which is great because it allows you to get to know your colleagues from the headquarters better. Once most guests have been served, you start with some cleaning tasks. In collaboration with the F&B Manager, you ensure all orders are complete, and the kitchen is left clean.  

Job requirements

What are we looking for?

  • A vibrant personality already eager to start.
  • A natural host; asking is not necessary, as you've already taken care of it.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • We prefer candidates with professional kitchen experience, but we're also open to part-time students who are passionate about cooking and eager to learn the ropes.
  • You are familiar with the HACCP hygiene code.
  • A flexible attitude and collaborative spirit because the business operates 24/7 (morning shift starts at 5:45 and the evening shift is till 22:00 hrs)
  • A full-time employee, but we are also open to welcome two part-time colleagues.
