The July is a premium hospitality brand that’s bringing the human touch to the way people travel. We are a group of apartment-hotels driven by delivering the best experience the world has ever seen, for guests staying one night or one year.
From Amsterdam to the world! Together with our shareholder Aware Super, we are implementing our strategy of international growth as owner-operator. Our teams have the ambitious goal to develop multiple new apartment-hotels across prime European cities like London, Dublin, Paris, Lisbon and Barcelona. Each location has the local stories and spirit interwoven throughout the apartment-hotel’s distinctive design.
About the Role
We’re looking for a visually obsessed, brand-led designer to own and evolve The July’s design universe. You’ll build and protect our visual identity across our growing portfolio of brands, create world-class assets, and bring stories to life across digital, print, content, and spaces.
A core part of your role will be to manage our master design system and translate it into beautiful, intuitive toolkits (primarily in Canva) that empower other teams to create on-brand materials day-to-day- without diluting quality.
You’re hands-on, have refined taste, and are excited by new creative tools including AI for faster iteration and higher creative impact.
What You'll Do
Guard and evolve our visual direction
Own and evolve our master visual identity and design system across our growing portfolio of apartment hotel and restaurant brands.
Maintain brand guidelines, libraries, typography systems, layouts, and visual rules
Create campaign identities, digital assets, print collateral, signage, merch, event assets, and more.
Enable teams to remain creatively consistent
Build scalable templates & toolkits for hotel & restaurant teams (primarily in Canva)
Train operational teams on how to use templates effectively
Maintain high brand standards through intuitive systems, QA, and clear creative direction
Aid our marketing team in campaigns and launches
Translate brand narratives into compelling visual storytelling across formats for seasonal campaigns and launches
Design channel-optimised assets across digital ads, socials, email & more
Capture light photography/video content on-site when needed
Workflow Experimentation & Optimisation
Leverage AI tools (Midjourney, Adobe, Figma AI, Runway, etc.) for versioning, exploration & iteration
Experiment with workflows that enhance quality and speed without losing craft
Collaboration
Partner closely with on-property teams to manage and prioritise design studio requests
Ensure all visual output is cohesive, aspirational, and consistent across markets
Manage asset libraries and file systems for clarity and ease of use
Job requirements
Who You Are
3+ years in graphic/brand design or studio environment
Strong portfolio showing refined visual taste & storytelling ability
Fluent in Adobe Suite, Figma, and motion tools (After Effects or eq.)
Experience designing scalable templates (Canva experience essential)
Bonus: short-form video editing (CapCut/Premiere), photography, hospitality/lifestyle sector experience
Curious about and comfortable with AI creative tools
Highly organised, quality-driven, and excited by autonomy & growth
